Gambit has always been an awesome character. Here's my take on him. I know he is a little skinny. Oh well.

The Real Hulk Vs Wolverine

What they don't tell you is that the real reason Hulk and Wolverine got into it was because Wolverine took so dang long to make a move in their chess game. Hulk wasn't very patient...

So I have always loved the character of Venom. He just looks freaking awesome. Here is a quick little sketch I did just for the fun of it.

Real men, or uh turtles, wear purple...

So i was always a big fan of Donatello. he was both smart and he could kick some tail at the same time. he could teach you some arithmetic while giving you a black eye. so here is my rendition of my favorite ninja turtle.

Just thought i would do a rendition of the Joker. wasn't really sure what to do what hadn't already been done... but it was a fun little sketch.

Never forget how to be a kid...

I remember when I was younger I used to run around with a towel tied around my neck jumping off the sofa pretending to be a super hero. In my little kid mind I was saving the world from impending doom and in those moments I was in my own universe without a care in the world. I am determined to not lose the last bit of that remaining mentality because sometimes it is nice just to be a "super hero" for a few minutes.

So I obviously haven't been keeping up to date with this thing as near as much as I wanted to but here is a quick sketch I did.
The troll with the mullet.... yes, there are even redneck trolls. why not?

In the beginning...

 

So this is one of my first "real" animations I have ever done, and also one of the first in my animation class. Granted, everyone has seen a bouncing ball, but I just figured I would post this just as a little preview of whats to come one day hopefully in the near future. I am determined to get better and better with each day. I already have ideas bouncing around in my head like crazy. 

Also take into account that this is not the greatest quality as well, but it is quite rewarding to see something "come to life" persay after spending time on individual stills. I am going to try to post up more interesting things in the future, but as for now, the bouncing ball along with the little squishy eyeball will have to do even if I myself enjoy it.

A Moustache Worthy of an Award.

Recently I grew out my beard for about two months. I eventually shaved it off but before I did, I shaved everything but my moustache just to see what it would look like. All I have to say is that Burt Reynolds would have been proud. Which all leads me to this post. A while ago I sketched a caricature of a guy who had actually won an award at the World Beard and Moustache Championship (yes there is such a thing and yes it is pretty dang awesome). Well here is the edited and colored version that I ended up with. I know this is the first post in a while, but I am making it my New Year's resolution to be better with updated this thing more often. I have several pieces in the works so keep watch.

Kids will be kids... Deadpool is no exception.

 

I drew this a while back and went back with ink and an ink wash. I had the idea after me and my friend bought nerf guns and had a battle in his apartment complex (if you have never had a nerf battle i recommend you going out right this minute and getting some nerf guns and have yourself a little battle). well anywho, back to the post at hand, i pictured that as a kid deadpool would have had nerf battles and probably would have taken them a tad bit too serious. i am pretty sure he would have modified his nerf guns as well. i threw in the target behind him along with the darts to give him a nice background and also to add a tad bit more humor to the piece. i am pretty stoked with how this drawing came out. if you are reading this or have randomly come across this blog, please feel free to leave any comments. thanks for your time.

 

Living in Atlanta is quite a bit different from where I called home for 21 years, the main difference: the lack of rednecks. Now I am not one to judge or hate on anyone but I gotta be honest I do not miss being surrounded by these guys. If one were to visit where I grew up it would be pretty obvious as to where my inspiration for these guys came from. I drew the fatter one first thinking that I would just have one character in the picture, but after a while I figured every good redneck needs a trusty sidekick and that's where the skinny one came into play. It wasn't really hard to come up with names for these guys, the skinny one's name is Ted and the fat one's name is Kenny. They were named after some of music's greatest gentlemen, Ted Nugent and Kenny Rogers. Clearly I am being sarcastic, no offense to anyone who might like either one of these music icons, but I thought the names fit perfectly for these guys. Who knows, I might do some more with these characters in the future, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Where's the loo?

Why would someone title their blog, Where's the loo?... Well I will tell you why, because I wanted to, simple as that really. Also because it is a running joke between me and a few friends. If I dove too deep into explaining exactly what makes this phrase so funny it would some what diminish the mystery behind it all. Think what you will about the story behind this phrase, create your own story in your head as to what you think it means, that is the premise behind what I want this whole thing to be about. This will mostly be a place for me to post up sketches and art that I work on when I have time. So to those who actually look at the sketches and art that I post, it doesn't bother me if you don't like them, that is the beauty of having an opinion. A lot of my sketches and drawings don't really have a story behind them, so this whole part goes along with the whole concept behind the title... create your own story in your head about the characters and sketches I throw up here.

I will start this whole thing off with a sketch of an old man... I like how the sketch turned out, so I will probably revisit this character in the future.
